INDUSTRIAL HEMP

We were a hemp based culture and the petroleum people took over.Hemp was so important that at times it was illegal NOT to grow it.For millennia hemp provided for human needs: Food from the seeds, fiber for textiles, fuel oil, paper, and it was used as a medicine in cultures all over this planet, including the United States of America. We need industrial hemp food and fiber, fuel and paperWe need industrial hemp medicine and even plasticWe were a hemp-based culture and the petroleum people took over. In the early 20th century Henry Ford sought independence from petroleum companies and was developing hemp-based alcohol fuels. Prohibition of alcohol ended that research. Ford then wanted to build his cars out of hemp-based plastics. That's right, plastic. But the 1937 prohibition of hemp ended that research too.We were a hemp-based culture and the petroleum people took over. The 1937 prohibition of cannabis hemp was orchestrated by the petrochemical and timber companies, along with the U.S. government, to destroy the competition. Hemp, the miracle-working plant, was renamed marijuana, which was demonized as a problem drug and made illegal. We were a hemp-based culture and the petroleum people took over. Hemp can do everything petroleum can do, and much more, yet it is an annual crop that grows almost anywhere. Hemp production creates none of the health hazards of petroleum: not oil spills, dioxins, air pollution, nor war. Hemp, plant of peace, be with us!BAND: Subconscious Revolt / copyrigh
